Our Learning disability Training Course is available for all services and any individual who wishes to gain an awareness in looking after people with a learning disability.

During this Learning Disability Training Course, you will discover that there are lots of different learning disabilities.

Most people recognize some of the better- known syndromes such as Down’s syndrome, Prader Willi Syndrome and Autism.

This course will also concentrate on other possible types of Learning Disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

“You can’t tell if someone has a learning disability just by looking at them. However, some conditions such as Down’s may have common features but this is NOT true of most learning disabilities”.

This Learning Disability  Training course is 4-5 hours long and costs £400 for up to 12 learners.

From 1 July 2022, CQC registered health and care providers will be required to ensure that all staff receive learning disability training in how to interact appropriately with people who have a learning disability.

This new legal requirement, introduced by the Health and Care Act 2022, applies to all providers regardless of the type of service—whether in an acute hospital, dental practice, GP surgery, or a residential care facility.

CQC has updated its statutory guidance on compliance with Regulation 18 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 in two areas.
